Google Unveils New Pixel Devices with AI-Powered Features at Made By Google 2026
Google held its Made By Google 2026 event in New York City, showcasing its new Pixel lineup. The company chose to release details of the devices earlier than usual, at 7 a.m. PT, after some information was leaked in advance.
One notable aspect of the event was the use of live human presenters, who could think on their feet and respond to unexpected situations. Host Trevor Noah and Google Senior Vice President Rick Osterloh led the presentation, which featured demonstrations of new features such as Magic Capture and AI-powered sign language-to-text translation.
Magic Capture is a feature that automatically captures still photos from video footage, eliminating the need for manual shutter pressing. The Pixel Tag, a portable tracker designed to work with Android devices, was also unveiled.
