Google Unveils New Pixel Devices with Tensor G6 Chipset and Limited RAM
Google is set to unveil its new flagship smartphones at the Made by Google event on August 12, 2026. The Pixel 11 family, which includes the standard Pixel 11, the souped-up Pixel 11 Pro, and the slightly larger Pixel 11 Pro XL, will be showcased alongside other devices.
The main devices that will be featured are the Pixel 11 family, with a processing upgrade powered by Google's Tensor G6 chipset. However, all Pixel smartphone models will have limited RAM at 12GB, a departure from the last two generations of the Pixel Pro which came standard with 16GB of RAM.
The global component shortage has led to the removal of the 128GB storage option from all Pixel devices, starting with 256GB instead. This means each device will start at $100 more than last year's models.
