Google Unveils New Tools to Simplify Data Management and Drive Advertiser Growth
Google has introduced three new tool enhancements to help advertisers bring together data across platforms and drive future growth. The tools, which include Data Manager, Data Strength Uplift Metric, and Meridian GeoX, aim to simplify how businesses collect, manage, and use their customer data.
Data Manager is being integrated into Google Analytics and Display & Video 360, allowing advertisers to instantly feed their data directly into both platforms through one pipeline. The tool also adopts the industry-standard IAB Tech Lab's ECAPI, which solves the severe fragmentation in the digital advertising industry caused by major ad networks.
The Data Strength Uplift Metric enables marketers to measure the value of first-party data and estimates the additional conversions recovered through its use. This metric is particularly useful for marketers who have struggled to prove whether an increase in conversion numbers was due to real business growth or recovering data that browser blockers had hidden.
Google has also upgraded Meridian, its open-source marketing-mix model, with agentic capabilities. Marketers can now include relevant brand signals like Branded Google Query Volume into Meridian to prove how upper-funnel campaigns drive sales.
