Google Unveils Pixel 11 Lineup, Rival to Apple's AirTag
Google has unveiled its latest lineup of hardware products at its annual Made by Google event. Among the new releases are the Pixel 11 smartphone series, a revamped Pixel Watch 5, and the Pixel Tag, a tracking device that directly competes with Apple's AirTag.
The standard Pixel 11 features a significantly redesigned camera bar, now made of all-glass, which spans the full width of the phone. This redesign has resulted in a more than 40% thinner profile compared to its predecessor. The base storage capacity has doubled to 256GB, but the starting price has increased by $100 to $899.
The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL models boast improved drop resistance and feature a new anti-scratch display coating that offers twice the scratch resistance of the previous generation. The Pixel 11 Pro starts at $1,099.
Another highlight is the Pixel Tag, priced at $29 or $99 for a four-pack. It connects to Android's Find Hub network and can be located using a Pixel Watch or found through voice commands with Pixel Buds. The Pixel Watch 5 also received updates, starting at $399 for the 41mm model and $429 for the 45mm version.
Google has also introduced new software features, including Rambler, which allows for natural, unstructured speech input, and an expansion of Live Transcribe to support American Sign Language via the Pixel Camera.
