Google Unveils Pixel Phones With Slimmer Cameras and Enhanced AI Features
Google has unveiled its latest lineup of Pixel phones, boasting improved cameras and more AI features. The new devices include slimmer cameras with enhanced zoom capabilities and artificial intelligence tools designed to simplify user interactions. According to Forrester senior analyst Andrew Cornwall, Google is focusing on software features, primarily around AI, as the reason to upgrade.
The new Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL models start at $900, $1,100, and $1,300 respectively. The Pixel Pro Fold starts at $1,900, a $100 increase from last year's prices. Google is also introducing a tracking device called Pixel Tag for the first time, which will cost $30 for one or $100 for a four-pack.
The new features include live translation for videos, podcasts, and voice messages, as well as a tool called HiLight that lets users assign a color to their favorite contacts. The company is also offering a free six-month subscription to its AI Pro plan with the purchase of the more expensive Pixel 11 Pro or Pixel 11 Pro XL models.
