Google Unveils Revamped European Hotel Search Results
Google has updated its hotel and flight search results in Europe, following a European Union antitrust enforcement decision. The changes aim to give users more choices when searching for travel options.
The revamped search results page includes two distinct units: an 'aggregator unit' that showcases third-party providers like online travel agencies, and a 'supplier unit' featuring direct providers such as individual hotels and airlines.
A search for Madrid hotels from Spain shows the new user interface. The aggregator unit features a stack of third parties, with the top-ranked provider's results expanded by default. Clicking on these listings leads users to the respective websites of these providers.
