Google Unveils WeatherNext 3: A More Accurate AI-Driven Weather Model
Google has taken another step in its transformation of Search into a task-based surface by integrating its new weather AI model, WeatherNext 3. This advanced global-scale AI model offers hourly updates, local weather forecasts with more details, real-time satellite data, and better rain forecasts.
The new model is up to 50% more accurate than previous versions and will be rolled out globally across Search, Gemini, Maps, Google Maps Platform, Earth Engine, and Cloud. This integration aims to improve weather information and decision-making for both personal and business needs.
Google's CEO Sundar Pichai recently described the future of search as a task-based experience that helps users accomplish things, not just find information. He envisions Search becoming an 'agent manager' where users can complete multiple tasks at once.
