Google Wallet Empowers Parents with Direct Money Transfers to Kids
Alphabet's Google has expanded its parental controls on Google Wallet, allowing parents in the US to directly send money to their children. This feature builds on an existing option that allows minors to add a credit card to a parent's Google account, which can be supervised through Family Link controls.
The update enables kids and teens under 18 to receive money directly from their parents. Parents can also now set daily spending limits and oversee their account activity via transaction history or push notifications.
Additionally, guardians can lock or unlock the balance remotely. This update aims to provide more flexibility and control for parents in managing their children's financial activities within Google Wallet.
