Google Wear OS Mysterious Fitness Tracker Emerges in FCC Filing
A new Google-made wearable has been spotted in an FCC listing, sparking speculation about its potential features and purpose.
The device, identified as a 'Wireless Device' with model number G8BL6, is manufactured by Goertek, which has previously worked on Pixel Buds.
Interestingly, the listing suggests that this device relies solely on Bluetooth LE connectivity, without Wi-Fi support. This could indicate that it's designed for fitness tracking rather than as a full-fledged smartwatch like previous Wear OS devices.
The FCC listing also mentions GPS or GNSS support and a metal frame serving as an antenna.
