Google's $15.1 Billion Bet Lifts Finland's Economic Growth Projections
Danske Bank A/S has upgraded its forecast for Finland's economic growth in 2027 following Alphabet Inc.'s major investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The Finnish economy is now expected to grow by 2.1% next year, surpassing the previous estimate of 1.4%, according to Danske Bank economist Olavi Kaskisaari.
This revised projection exceeds the median forecast compiled by Bloomberg, which estimated a growth rate of 1.3% prior to the investment.
The significant increase is attributed to Google's €13 billion ($15.1 billion) investment in AI infrastructure in Finland, marking one of the largest foreign investments in the country's history.
