Google's AI Mode Expands Travel Capabilities with Flight Price Tracking and Hotel Booking
Google has expanded its AI Mode capabilities to include travel planning and booking features. The update starts with flight price tracking, allowing users to set up alerts for specific routes and dates. This integration supports over 300 partner airlines and travel sites.
Users can describe their travel preferences, such as departure and arrival cities, and AI Mode will display a list of flights and prices. They can then book tickets directly through the airline's website or preferred booking platform.
In addition to flight price tracking, Google has also added the ability to show flight and hotel costs in points or miles. Currently, this feature supports Alaska Airlines/Hawaiian Airlines, American Airlines, Choice Hotels International, Hilton, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. More partners will be added in the coming weeks.
The final update is hotel booking, which allows users to chat with AI Mode about their preferences and receive a list of hotels complete with guest reviews and key factors to compare. Supported partners include Booking.com, Choice Hotels International, Expedia, Hilton, Hotels.com, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Priceline, Trip.com, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
