Google's AI-Powered 'Docs to Video' Transforms Documents into Engaging Summaries

Google has rolled out a new feature called 'Docs to video' that allows users to convert their Google Docs, PDFs, and Word files into two-minute summary videos. The feature uses Gemini's AI technology to analyze the source text and generate a script, narration, and visual elements for the video.

The process is simple: users can open Vids.new in their browser, select the 'Docs to video' option, choose the source file, and let Gemini do the work. The resulting video is an MP4 project that can be edited further before export.

Google plans to roll out this feature to all users with a paid plan, including Business and Enterprise accounts, Education Plus, Nonprofit organizations, and consumer subscriptions such as Google AI Plus and Pro. However, free Google accounts are not eligible for the feature.
