Google's AI Travel Agent Takes Flight

Google has expanded its AI Mode's capabilities to include trip planning and booking. Users can now ask AI Mode to track flight prices, book hotels, and see the cost of flights and hotels in points or miles.

The updates indicate that Google is positioning AI Mode as an AI travel agent, capable of handling parts of the trip-planning and booking process itself.

Users can describe their travel preferences to AI Mode, which will display the best options available with the latest prices from over 300 airlines and travel sites. If they're ready to book, they can build their itinerary in AI Mode, or wait and see if prices drop by tracking them.
