Google's Find Hub Introduces 'Remembered' Tab for Track-Free Item Location

Oluwaniyi Raji, a tech content specialist, shared his experience of relying on Google's Find Hub to remember where he keeps essential items. He owns five things that could cause trouble if lost, including his passport, certificates folder, and identification documents.

Raji discovered the 'Remembered' tab in Find Hub after the September Android Drop update. This feature allows users to write down where they've stored items without Bluetooth trackers. He noted that he couldn't justify buying a tracker for every item, as it would be expensive and require batteries replacement.

The 'Remembered' tab works by letting users speak or type notes about the location of their items. The feature is integrated with Gemini, which can understand voice commands. To recall an item's location, users can ask Google where it is or open the 'Remembered' tab and read their note.

Raji believes that this feature will become a habit over time, making it easier to find lost items without relying on physical trackers. However, he acknowledges that this solution has its limitations, as notes won't automatically update when an item's location changes.
