Google's Gambling Ad Policy Update Puts Agencies Under Scrutiny
Google's updated policy for gambling and games advertising has introduced stricter scrutiny for agencies managing multiple advertiser accounts through Manager Accounts.
The policy, which took effect on September 14, 2026, requires any business advertising gambling or games products to demonstrate 'good policy health,' a term coined by Google.
Agencies and third-party businesses operating Manager Accounts are now at risk of having their certification revoked if they accumulate repeated gambling certificate revocations or have accounts under their management repeatedly flagged for violations while holding a valid certificate.
