Google's Gemini AI Leaks Unreleased Game Details

An indie game developer has raised concerns about Google's Gemini AI after it revealed unreleased details about an upcoming game update. The developer, Klub Kofta Studio, claims that the information could only have come from a private Google Docs file.

A player in the game's Discord server was asking random questions about the game using Google's AI search feature, and some of the answers were surprisingly accurate. However, when asked about future content planned for the game, the AI responded with the exact name of an unreleased character, 'Vantage Tripod', which had never been shared publicly.

The developer notes that the only place where the name existed in digital form was inside a private Google Docs document used for planning future content. They also clarified that the character name wasn't hidden inside the game's files, wasn't uploaded to Steam, and hadn't been entered into Gemini directly.

Google has responded to the claims, stating that they 'do not scan private content to train its AI' but acknowledge that users can connect Google Workspace apps to Gemini, which may help avoid similar issues in the future.
