Google's Gemini App Hits One Billion Monthly Active Users Milestone
Google's Gemini app has reached an impressive milestone of one billion monthly active users. This achievement makes Gemini one of Google's fastest-growing products and the 14th product to reach this milestone.
The company's rapid growth is comparable to that of OpenAI's ChatGPT, which also surpassed one billion monthly active users in June. However, it's worth noting that this figure specifically refers to the Gemini app and does not include AI users from other channels.
Google has been steadily integrating Gemini across its products, including Search and Workspace, Android, and its standalone app. The company has also rolled out new models and features, such as Gemini 3.5 Flash, which is designed to improve coding and autonomous AI-agent tasks.
According to Google, 63% of Gemini users are talking directly to the assistant using the voice feature. Additionally, Gemini now generates more than 150 million images every day.
