Google's Gemini Live Gets Real-World Visual Guide with Guided Vision
Google has rolled out a new feature for Gemini Live called Guided Vision. This feature allows users to describe objects in front of their camera and receive detailed descriptions. The update is part of the September Android Drop, which also includes updates like Google Keep in Messages and Find Hub remembered items.
The Guided Vision feature uses the phone's camera feed to help users locate household items, read fine print, or even order from a menu at a restaurant. To ensure correct usage, Google has implemented guidelines that provide voice feedback if the camera isn't lined up properly.
Guided Vision will be available on phones running Android 9 and above in countries where Gemini is available. Users can access the feature by adding it to their Accessibility shortcuts or launching it directly from the TalkBack menu.
