Google's Gemini Spark Gets Photo Management Powers
Google's personal assistant, Gemini Spark, is expanding its capabilities to include management of users' Google Photos libraries. The tech giant announced that users can now ask Gemini Spark to perform tasks in Google Photos such as editing pictures, curating albums, and turning concert flyers into actual event plans.
The new capabilities will allow users to ask Gemini Spark to find their vacation photos, remove background crowds, and center them before adding the photos to a new album. They can also ask Spark to check their calendar for conflicts with the concert flyer and then get the event scheduled.
The Photos capabilities in Spark will roll out over the next few weeks to AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US. However, Google did not mention a timeline for when the new capabilities will be rolled out globally. In response to a comment asking when the feature would be available in Europe, Shimrit Ben-Yair, Google Photos lead, said 'We're in the process of rolling out in the US. Will update when we roll out more broadly!'
