Google's Indiana Data Center Prioritizes Environmental Stewardship

Google is building a data center campus in Allen County, Indiana, and the company has made environmental stewardship a key part of its design. According to Google, engineers have intentionally designed the layout to avoid more than 75% of regulated wetlands, preserving over 32 acres of forested land.

The company has applied for a permit to fill more than two acres of wetlands and is providing mitigation credits to offset any potential impacts. This means that they will restore or conserve an additional nine acres of wetlands in Allen County and across Indiana.
