Google's Pixel 11 Fails to Shine with Underwhelming HiLight Feature

The Pixel 11 series has finally arrived, and with it comes a feature called HiLight. Unfortunately, this feature has been met with disappointment as its functionality is severely limited.

Initially, many thought that HiLight would be a ring light surrounding the camera module or even a glowing 'G' logo on the back of the phone. However, the actual implementation is far from it - the feature simply glows blue when interacting with Gemini and changes colors for incoming calls from favorite contacts.

This limited functionality has left many wondering why Google didn't take advantage of the opportunity to create something more innovative and functional. The likes of Nothing and Xiaomi have successfully integrated lights and screens into their devices, raising the bar for what is possible in phone design.
