Google's Pixel Connectivity Health Menu Aims to Diagnose Connection Problems
Google is testing a new feature called Connectivity health for its Pixel phones that aims to diagnose Wi-Fi, mobile data, and call problems from one place. The feature is still in its experimental phase and has not been officially announced by Google. According to an APK teardown, the tool would appear under Settings > Network & internet, where users could access separate diagnostic tools for each connectivity issue.
The Connectivity health menu would provide a centralized location for troubleshooting connection problems, which can be frustrating for Pixel owners. Android Authority discovered the feature in the Pixel Troubleshooting app version 1.0.962958926 and manually enabled it during testing. The tool seems to work only partially, with mobile data diagnostics being the only fully functional diagnostic tool.
During a diagnostic session, Connectivity health could produce a report listing settings changed, but Google has not clarified where these reports would be stored or what additional data they might contain. It's also unclear whether device administrators can access these reports. The company has not announced a release date for this feature or the supported Pixel models.
