Google's Pixel Watch 4 (45mm) Gets a Major Overhaul with Actua 360 Display
The latest iteration of Google's Pixel Watch is finally starting to feel complete. The new 45mm model boasts a domed display that makes a big impact, especially when viewed from different angles. Dubbed Actua 360, this curved panel is the first thing you'll notice about the watch.
One of the standout features of the Pixel Watch 4 (45mm) is its impressive screen. With a resolution of 456 by 456 pixels and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, it's easy to read even in full sunlight. The AMOLED LTPO display measures approximately 1.4 inches, making it slightly larger than the previous model.
Battery life is also a major selling point for this watch. According to Google, you can expect up to 40 hours of use with the always-on display turned on, and up to 72 hours in Battery Saver mode. Reviewers have reported mixed results, but some have managed to squeeze out as much as 56 hours of battery life.
The Pixel Watch 4 (45mm) runs on Wear OS 6, which has received a significant update thanks to Material 3 Expressive. This means larger tap targets, clearer tiles, and watch faces that make better use of the extra screen real estate.
