Google's Play Points Sweepstakes Offers Rare Comics and NYC Comic Con Trips

Google has announced a sweepstakes for Play Points users that could land you some impressive prizes. The contest, which runs from August 17 to September 14, offers various rewards, including a trip to New York Comic Con and a vintage Spider-Man comic valued at over $70,000.

The most coveted prize is one sealed, graded copy of Marvel's Amazing Fantasy #15, an issue from 1962 that marked the hero's first appearance. This rare comic comes with a CGC grade of 5.0/10 and is estimated to be worth $72,000. Four entrants will also win a trip for two to New York Comic Con, including flights and a four-night stay in Times Square.

The official terms state that each Play Point redeemed counts as one entry in the sweepstakes. Redeeming more points during the contest period will net you progressively larger amounts of extra entries: spending 100 points gets you 105 entries, while 50,000 points is worth 60,000 total entries.
