Grand Floridian Cafe Reopens After Multi-Month Refurbishment
Walt Disney World has announced the reopening date of the Grand Floridian Cafe after its multi-month refurbishment. The cafe, located at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, is a fan-favorite table service restaurant that has been closed since late July.
The refurbishment is part of the larger project to overhaul the Grand Floridian Resort, which started in 2019 with the renovation of Enchanted Rose and Citricos. The resort's lobby and Birdcage Bar were revamped last Christmas, while the Garden View Lounge reopened this spring after a six-year closure.
The Grand Floridian Cafe will reopen on November 2, 2026, as confirmed by Walt Disney World through Advance Dining Reservations and updated operating hours. During its refurbishment, brunch was temporarily relocated to Citricos, which offered a similar menu in a newer dining room with slightly-elevated views.
Guests can now make ADRs for the Grand Floridian Cafe starting November 2, with availability currently available for all time slots. The cafe's reopening is expected to be a major update, possibly including new carpet, curtains, tables and chairs, decorations, and detail-work, although it's unclear if Disney will incorporate any IP.
