GTA 6 Leaker Defies Subpoenas with New Gameplay Clips
Take-Two's attempts to identify the GTA 6 leaker have not deterred the culprit. On August 22, two more gameplay clips appeared online, uploaded by 'CyberLeek.' The videos feature supercar gameplay and an armed robbery segment.
The presence of cutscenes in these leaks suggests that the leaker has access to a real build of the game, raising concerns about potential story spoilers. This is not the first time CyberLeek has leaked GTA 6 content; eight videos have appeared this week alone, each promoting the 'CyberLeek' memecoin.
Take-Two filed Digital Millennium Copyright Act subpoenas in federal court on August 20, targeting information held by Microsoft and Discord. The publisher wants identifying details attached to user accounts belonging to several Discord servers, including one linked to Australian GTA content creator Matthew 'Matt' Judge, also known as DarkViperAU.
Judge has denied any wrongdoing, but the subpoenas are aimed at identifying whoever uploaded the leaks to Github. Microsoft's internal investigation of CyberLeek is also being targeted by the subpoenas.
