Guillermo Veiga Named Chief Information Officer at Capital Group

Capital Group has announced the appointment of Guillermo Veiga as its new chief information officer, effective November. He will be succeeding Marta Zarraga, who is retiring at the end of this year.

Veiga brings over two decades of experience in technology and operations to the role, having held senior positions at Amazon Web Services, Cisco, and Banco Santander across Europe and Asia.

Currently serving as group chief information and operations officer at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, Veiga will relocate to California for his new position. Capital Group manages $3.6 trillion in assets worldwide and has over 9,000 associates across 34 offices.

The firm is nearing its 100th anniversary in 2031 and continues to expand its presence globally.
