Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel's US Tour Yields Investment Opportunities and Partnerships
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is on an America tour to attract investment and strengthen international partnerships. The high-level delegation, led by CM Patel, met with senior representatives from prominent companies in New York, including JP Morgan, Tillman Global Holdings, Uber, and Golub Capital.
The discussions centered around investment opportunities, financial services, digital infrastructure, and advanced technology. Notably, the meeting with JP Morgan focused on further developing GIFT City as an international financial center. The bank reaffirmed its commitment to GIFT City and plans to expand its business there.
CM Patel also met with Jerry Keefe, co-chairman of Golub Capital, who expressed interest in investing in GIFT City and connecting global institutions involved in banking, insurance, and exchange activities to the platform. The meeting with Sanjeev Ahuja, founder and chairman of Tillman Global Holdings, highlighted opportunities for Dholera to emerge as a center for next-generation digital infrastructure.
The delegation also visited IBM Research, where discussions focused on potential collaboration in research and development in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and semiconductors. Uber expressed interest in expanding its presence in Gujarat's tier-2 and tier-3 cities, with the goal of strengthening transportation and connectivity in smaller and medium-sized cities.
