Gulf Risks Persist Despite Peace Accord Efforts, Chevron CEO Warns
Chevron CEO Mike Wirth warned of ongoing risks to shipowners in the Persian Gulf, despite recent efforts towards a peace accord between the US and Iran.
Wirth stated that several vessels have been attacked in the Strait of Hormuz in recent days, with some incidents reported by the media and others not yet made public.
He emphasized that shipowners must feel comfortable sending ships back through the strait for trade to resume, citing months of vessels being trapped and crews stuck.
