The remake of Halo: Campaign Evolved, a game in the popular space saga series, failed to meet Microsoft's expectations. According to analyst Rhys Elliot, the game sold approximately 1.2 million copies in its first month after release, generating about $67 million in revenue.

The numbers are low considering the game's availability on Game Pass, which has around 2 million subscribers who launched the game. However, the remake's sales were nearly evenly distributed between PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, with a slight majority coming from PC on Steam.

Despite the release of the game on Sony consoles, there was not much excitement generated among fans. One possible reason for this could be the absence of fan-favorite multiplayer mode and the relatively high starting price compared to previous collections in the series.
