The Hamilton County Health Department recently distributed 50 emergency cleanup supply buckets to residents affected by recent flooding. The effort was made possible through donations from local businesses, including The Home Depot and Logan Street Signs.

Each bucket included essential items such as heavy-duty trash bags, work gloves, rubber gloves, dish soap, N95 masks, terry towels, a scrub brush, cleaning sponges, and sanitizing general-purpose cleaner. Additionally, the buckets contained post-flood health and safety information from the Hamilton County Health Department.

The supplies were distributed by the health department's field staff while they conducted water sampling and assisted residents with wells that had been submerged by floodwater. Extra buckets were provided to Teter Organic Farm, which coordinated delivery to residents in the Riverwood area.

Homes and wells affected by flooding are a concern for Health Department Administrator Jason LeMaster, who stated, 'Our staff has been working directly with residents whose homes and wells were affected by flooding, so we wanted to make sure they had practical supplies and reliable information as they begin the cleanup process.'
