Hargreaves Lansdown Orders Staff Back to Office Amid Collaboration Concerns
Hargreaves Lansdown, the UK's largest DIY investment firm, is ordering its staff to return to the office for three days a week. The decision comes as the company completes its move to a new Bristol office and aims to improve collaboration among employees.
The wealth management platform has 2,400-strong workforce and will introduce mandatory office days in stages from September. This follows other firms such as TSB, which demanded staff return to the office for three days a week from April next year, and JPMorgan Chase, which told all of its workers to return to the office last week.
Hargreaves Lansdown did not have a requirement for the number of days in the office prior to its acquisition by buyout firms including CVC Partners in 2024 for £5.4 billion. The decision is aimed at helping employees settle into the new space and improve collaboration, which has been harder due to some staff rarely coming into the office.
