Hathaway Honored as Disney Legend
The upcoming Disney Legends ceremony will honor Anne Hathaway as a Disney Legend in the category of Film on August 16, 2026. This is part of the newest class of honorees who have made significant and lasting contributions to The Walt Disney Company and Walt Disney's legacy.
Hathaway got her start with Disney by playing Mia Thermopolis in both The Princess Diaries (2001) and The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004). She also voiced Haru in the English dub of Studio Ghibli's The Cat Returns (2005) and had roles in other Disney films such as Alice in Wonderland (2010) and its sequel.
Hathaway is known for her work in various Disney projects, including the animated features Rio (2011) and Rio 2 (2014). She will reprise her role as Andy Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada 2, set to hit theaters in May 2026.
