Haunted Mansion Gets Spooky New Look at Magic Kingdom
Disney World's Magic Kingdom has been under construction for months, and one of its most iconic attractions is finally getting a refresh. The Haunted Mansion ride has been behind a massive scrim since at least October 2025, but now that the scrim is down, visitors can see the exterior changes firsthand.
The building's colors have changed, with the stones and details around the exterior now painted gray instead of light brown. The top of the weathervane also has a new green color. While some areas still have scrim covering them, it appears that more work is being done to match the rest of the building.
Disney World's construction projects can be frustrating for visitors trying to capture pictures without scrims and walls blocking their view. However, these changes are likely intended to keep the park looking fresh and modern.
