Haverford Trust Co., a financial institution, has invested $988,000 in Salesforce Inc. (NYSE:CRM) by acquiring 6,309 shares of its stock.

This investment marks Haverford's entry into the CRM provider's stakeholder list, according to its recent Form 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Several other institutional investors have also modified their holdings in Salesforce. Vanguard Group Inc., for instance, grew its stake in the company by 0.3% during the fourth quarter.
