Hollywood Studios' Lost Soul Finds Its Way Back
Disney has completed its transformation of the Walt Disney Studios Lot at Hollywood Studios in Florida. The Magic of Disney Animation, an experience showcasing the park's animation history and creativity, opened ahead of schedule on September 14.
The area features hand-drawn artwork, classic Disney references, animation experiences, and unexpected character encounters that bring back the movie-making personality that once defined Hollywood Studios.
Guests can discover Easter eggs connected to classic Disney movies throughout the space, including pencil sketches from older animated films like The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (1949) and The Fox and the Hound (1981).
The Magic of Disney Animation soft-opened with operating hours listed as 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., but will significantly shorten its daily window on September 28, operating from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
