Home Depot Beats Q2 Earnings Expectations with Mid-Single Digit Growth
Home Depot's second-quarter 2026 earnings beat expectations, with revenue and earnings per share rising mid-single digits year over year. The company reported net sales of $47.86 billion, a 5.7 percent increase from the same period in fiscal 2025.
Adjusted diluted earnings per share reached $4.92, exceeding consensus estimates of $4.73. This marks a 5.1 percent adjusted EPS growth for the quarter and is slightly above the company's guided range.
The revenue increase was driven by stronger demand from professional contractors and double-digit online growth, which offset softer big-ticket project spending. Home Depot also benefited from tariff refunds that reduced its cost of goods sold.
