Home Depot Bolsters Supply Chain with Major Investments
The Home Depot is overhauling its supply chain to speed up deliveries and make product availability more convenient for customers. The company has made significant investments in connecting stores, distribution assets, and technology, leading to improved efficiency in the shopping experience.
Notably, in the second quarter of fiscal 2026, Home Depot achieved a same-day or next-day delivery rate of over 65% for in-stock parcel deliveries. Additionally, its Express Delivery service allows customers to receive tens of thousands of products within three hours, with the majority of these express orders being delivered in under an hour.
The company is also streamlining its big-and-bulky merchandise fulfillment process, reducing delivery lead times by approximately 45% over the past 18 months. As a result, about 55% of stocked big-and-bulky deliveries are now reaching customers within two days.
