Home Depot CEO Ted Decker Steps Down Temporarily Due to Medical Reasons

Home Depot CEO Ted Decker is taking a temporary medical leave of absence from the company's Cobb County headquarters, according to an official announcement. The board of directors has selected two veteran executives to manage top-level duties in his absence: Ann-Marie Campbell and Richard McPhail.

Campbell will oversee daily store and retail operations, while McPhail will handle financial management alongside the company's pro business divisions. Lead Director Greg Brenneman will lead board meetings during Decker's temporary absence.

Brenneman expressed confidence in Campbell and McPhail's ability to lead the company, stating that they are 'strong, seasoned executives who have worked together for more than 20 years.'
