Home Depot CEO Ted Decker Takes Medical Leave

Home Depot CEO Ted Decker has taken a temporary medical leave of absence. According to the company, he is expected to return within several months.

In his absence, Ann-Marie Campbell and Richard McPhail will take over temporarily. Campbell, senior executive vice president of U.S. stores and operations, will oversee day-to-day operations, while McPhail, executive vice president and chief financial officer, will handle financial operations and Pro subsidiaries.

Greg Brenneman, lead independent director of the board, will serve as chairman in Decker's absence. He expressed confidence in Campbell and McPhail's ability to lead the company during this time, stating, 'The Home Depot has the best management team in retail.'
