Home Depot has raised its dividend for an unprecedented 17 consecutive years and will report second-quarter earnings on August 18. Despite dealing with cyclical pressures, the company has paid a dividend in 157 straight quarters.

The home improvement giant's revenue rose double-digit percentages in fiscal 2020 and 2021 due to pandemic-fueled demand, but it has been negatively impacted by tighter macroeconomic conditions since then. Home Depot's same-store sales decreased 3.2% in fiscal 2023, fell 1.8% in fiscal 2024, and rose by just 0.3% in fiscal 2025.

The company is committed to its investors, with a quarterly dividend of $2.33 per share and a track record of increasing the payout every year for nearly four decades. This commitment has not wavered despite softer sales momentum, allowing Home Depot to fund its operations while returning capital to shareholders.
