The Home Depot Inc. has become the latest target in a string of patent suits over lamps and lighting fixtures. Prosperina Ventures LLC, a non-practicing entity, claims that The Home Depot sells products that infringe on six different patents it owns.

The alleged infringements include LED light bulbs, light tracks, wrap lights, and other fixtures sold by the hardware chain. These products supposedly infringe on US Patent Nos. 9,310,030, 9,470,882, and 10,107,487, which cover aspects of LED light bulbs.

This is the fifth patent suit filed by Prosperina since last year, with all five suits invoking these same patents. The previous four suits targeted light bulb manufacturers.
