Home Depot Joins Costco in Cypress Retail Hub Expansion
A new Home Depot store is set to open in Cypress, joining Costco and contributing to the growing retail presence in the area.
The 134,808-square-foot store will be located on the east side of Texas 99, south of West Road, and is expected to cost around $20 million. Construction is scheduled to begin next month and wrap up by September 2027.
This new Home Depot store will join a Costco under construction in the same area, part of the Grand Mason development along the highway. The Costco warehouse, estimated to cost over $64.5 million, will feature a gas station and is expected to be completed in November. This marks the second Costco location in Cypress.
The rapid growth of residential areas around the Grand Parkway has driven the development of this retail hub, with nearly 485,000 people living within 7 miles of the area, according to NewQuest's estimates. The population within 3 miles grew by about 51% from 2020 to 2025.
