Home Depot Joins Pat McAfee in High-Stakes Kicking Contest

College GameDay's Pat McAfee brought back his kicking contest for a fourth season, despite initial hints that it might be over. The high-stakes contest has been funded by McAfee himself since its inception, with over $6 million given out in the first three seasons.

The financial arrangement for this year's contest was unclear until Saturday's debut at LSU, where McAfee announced a new sponsorship agreement. Home Depot, which has sponsored College GameDay for 24 years, will match any dollar amount that McAfee pays out for the entire season.

This means that the 'Kicking is easy' contest, now officially rebranded as such on College GameDay, will have double the potential payouts. The first kick of the season was worth $1 million, with Home Depot matching the amount, making it a $2 million shot for contestant Bruce.
