Home Depot Lands in California, Maryland with New Store Location
The Home Depot has acquired a 13.52-acre parcel in California, Maryland's Lexington Exchange business community. The developer, St. John Properties Inc., announced the sale, marking a significant milestone for the mixed-use project.
The Home improvement retailer plans to open its first location in Southern Maryland at Lexington Exchange, joining a growing lineup of businesses that includes ALDI, Royal Farms, Chipotle Mexican Grill, and RC Theatres.
St. John Properties' Andrew Roud said the arrival of The Home Depot represents a significant win for St. Mary's County and the local business community. He noted that it will bring new full- and part-time jobs to the area, creating an economic impact on the county.
