A former Home Depot assistant store manager in Omaha has been sentenced to six years in prison for using job interviews to target teenage victims and coerce them into sending explicit photos.

Samuel Hoffman, now 26, was convicted on three counts of child pornography possession after negotiating a plea deal in April. The conviction came after an 18-month investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI.

Prosecutors allege that between May 26 and June 10, 2022, Hoffman collected cell phones from teenage job applicants at the Home Depot near 144th Street and West Maple Road. He then later contacted them through fake social media profiles and coerced them into sending explicit photos.
