Home Depot Renovates Veteran's Home Through 'Restoring Hope' Initiative

Home Depot partnered with Warriors Haven to renovate the home of 76-year-old Marine veteran Vernell Dunmeyer. The renovation included replacing her countertops, backsplash tiling, and appliances in addition to repairing her front and back decks.

The project was part of Home Depot's 'Restoring Hope' initiative, which helps veterans facing challenges such as lack of transportation or home repairs.

Fourteen people worked on the deck repair, including store associates and managers from The Home Depot in Summerville. Bin There, Dump That donated trash and debris removal free of charge.

Vernell Dunmeyer expressed deep gratitude for the help, saying it was 'restoring hope' and that she never felt alone.
