Home Depot Sales Boosted by Smaller Projects Amid US Housing Slump
Home Depot reported improved sales in its second quarter due to customers focusing on smaller projects during the summer months, despite the US housing sector remaining stagnant.
The company's revenue increased to $47.86 billion from $45.28 billion, surpassing Wall Street's expectations of $47.24 billion, according to a survey by FactSet.
Globally, sales at stores open for at least a year rose 1.7%, while in the US, comparable store sales increased 1.3%.
