Home Depot Sales Rise 5.7% as Pro Business Expansion Gains Momentum
Home Depot reported its second-quarter sales increased 5.7% to $47.86 billion from $45.28 billion in the same period last year, while net income rose 4.7% to $4.77 billion.
The company attributed this growth to its expanding professional contractor business and investments in faster fulfillment.
Home Depot has been building a larger presence in the professional contractor market by combining its U.S. stores with over 1,340 SRS locations and offering faster job-site delivery.
The rollout of Express Delivery across U.S. markets allows customers to receive eligible products within three hours or less for a flat fee without a subscription or membership.
