Home Depot Salesman's Behavior Leaves Minnesota Woman Uneasy
A Minnesota woman named Ms. B recently had an unsettling experience when she allowed a Home Depot salesman to inspect her furnace and discuss replacing it.
She had stopped by the store in December after her furnace broke, and the sales team offered her a chance at a free replacement if she registered for a quote.
The next day, a representative came to her house, but Ms. B was immediately uneasy about his behavior: he asked invasive questions, touched her belongings, and seemed unprepared for the task.
After getting a quote of over $10,000 for an 80% efficiency furnace, which would not qualify for a rebate if paid that day, Ms. B told him to stop contacting her. She eventually chose to go with another company, Hoffman, after they offered a better deal and provided excellent customer service.
